about

This album was a labor of love between the two original founding members of the Jaunting Martyrs, Justine Lucas and Brendan O'Loughlin during the Winter of 2010/2011. It was completely written, recorded, produced, edited and mixed by the two over the following year. It was ready for release in the middle of 2011.

Since then the Martyrs have formed a band able to reproduce and improve the energy and sounds you find in this record and are beginning to play deep, raucous, insanely fun gigs throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

We would be ecstatic and honored if you would purchase the product of so much work, a piece that we incredibly proud of. Every dollar goes directly into making our lives as a band smoother, more professional, and able to rock even harder.

Thank you

The Jaunting Martyrs.

Track Name: Blind Drinks
Dm--G
Blind as can be
she walks in front of me
with her best friend
she says let me be your eyes,
show me how you see

And I watch their shadows shrink
with each passing streetlight
their walking with the trees
but you can't smell the pine
on these city

F--G
Their walking up a hill now
and they're just trying to get home
and I'll fallow them
home

(instrumental interlude)

Dm--G
She pours her own drinks
and she's a witness to what hears
she can feel her city spinning,
raises her glass to god
drinks to what she fears

F--G
She's reaching' for the walls now
tappin' her shoes to find those steps
and she'll touch everything in this world
until nothing is left
untouched

(instrumental)
Dm,C,G
